Rajkot:
A woman along with her lover and a contract killer have been arrested in connection with a double murder case.
Kundan Dobariya, her lover Bhanu Khuman and contract killer Dinesh Rathod have been arrested for the murder of Kundan's two sons, Rajkot Rural Superintendent of Police Prem Veer Singh said on Saturday. He added that the three of them would be produced before a local court for remand.
Kundan, a widow engaged in selling country-made liquor at Khirasara town of the district, was in love with Bhanu Khuman, a regular customer of her's, police said.
Kundan's two sons Ashok and Vijay came to know about their mother's love affair and asked her to stop her relationship with Bhanu. However Kundan refused to do so. Bhanu and she decided instead to get the two of them killed so that they could live together.
The duo asked contract killer Dinesh Rathod to kill them, police said adding Rathod took Rs 5,000 for one murder.
Rathod allegedly killed Ashok on August 27 and then Vijay on November 24 this year. Police said both of them were stabbed to death.
Ashok's decomposed body was found on the outskirts of town while Vijay's body was buried, police said.
