Woman killed for dowry

Balrampur: A woman was killed and her body set ablaze allegedly by her in-laws for dowry in Bhagwatiganj area, police said in Balrampur.

The body of 24-year-old Vinita was found in a charred state with injuries on the neck at her matrimonial house on Monday night, they said.

Vinita's family members alleged that she was killed by her husband and in-laws for dowry, police said.

Vinita's mother-in-law Shanti Devi has been arrested and her husband Setu and his family members were absconding.
