Nashik, Maharashtra: A 35-year-old woman lawyer was stabbed to death allegedly by unidentified persons at her residence in Satpur's Vishwas Nagar locality, police said on Friday.
The incident took place on Thursday night when the victim, identified as Megha Suresh Jagtap was alone at home.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr D S Swami, the accused left the woman with severe injuries in her stomach and other body parts, following which she died on the spot.
However, the reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained and no arrests have been made so far, he said.
Megha's husband is working at Trimbak's Khadi Gramodyog centre, while her son is an auto-rickshaw driver, police added.
