A woman was shot dead allegedly by her husband after she objected to his illicit relationship with another woman in village Chakia here, police said today.
Sonam was shot dead by her husband Sunil, a teacher, with a country made pistol yesterday after they had a heated argument over his illicit relationship with another woman, Superintendent of Police Navneet Kumar Rana said.
Sunil fled from the spot after the incident, he said, adding that police has launched a manhunt to nab him.
