Delhi: A 60-year-old woman facing trial in an attempt to murder case today in a courtroom in Delhi after suffering a heart attack.
The woman, identified as Poonam, suffered a heart attack and collapsed around 11 am on Monday during the proceedings before a sessions judge at Rohini district court, court sources said.
Doctors from the court dispensary were called immediately and provided her first aid. The court staff also tried to help and the judge suspending all proceedings, they said.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead.
The victim was on bail and facing trial in an attempt to murder case registered with Rohini police station in 2005.
