Nagpur:
A woman who allegedly killed her four-year-old daughter in a fit of rage in Raghuji Nagar in Nagpur has committed suicide by jumping before a running train, police said today.
The woman, Sheela Bake (35), allegedly attacked her daughter Vaishali with a sharp weapon yesterday, inflicting injuries on the latter's neck and chest, resulting in her death, police said.
Later, the woman fled from her home and boarded a train.
She got down at Wardha and jumped before a running train yesterday.
The Government Railway Police at Wardha sent her photo by e-mail to Nagpur police, who confirmed her identity.
The woman was suspected to be mentally unsound and had frequent quarrels with her husband, police added.
