Rajkot: Pooja Chauhan, the woman who paraded the city streets in a semi-nude condition three years
back, seeking justice for dowry harassment, has now shaved off her head alleging police inaction in her case.
The woman, who went bald and donned saffron clothes, alleged that cops refused to register her complaint and lamented that no one came forward to help her in her fight.
"I am fed up of being harassed by police and neighbours and decided to give up domestic life and become a recluse," she said.
Pooja had partially disrobed herself and paraded the roads here three years back alleging that her husband and mother-in law harassed her for dowry, and when approached the police, it had failed to take any action against them.
Following her protest a team of women commission from the Centre had visited Rajkot to ascertain her condition.
