Lucknow:
A maulana and some employees of a madrassa in Lucknow were allegedly thrashed by a group of women for endorsing a 'one-sided' talaq.
Enraged by the "one-sided" talaq by Ali Imran to his wife Mumtaz Fatima alias Heena, the group of women thrashed maulana Asgar Ali and two others of the Sulatannual Madaris.
The Maulana later lodged a complaint in this regard at Wazirganj police station accusing the women.
The women in turn allege that the Maulana was sanctioning divorces without verifying the facts and consent of both the parties.
The authorities of Sulatannual Madaris claimed that the act of these women was an attempt to tarnish the image of the institution.
