Nagpur:
A young school teacher was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by five unidentified men, posing as policemen, after they stopped the victim near Kapsi flyover in Nagpur, police said today.
The incident took place on Monday night when the accused kidnapped the woman from near Kalamana when she was riding pillion with a male friend on a motorbike.
The assaulters forcibly stopped her and the friend posing as policemen, and then took them to an isolated place on the pretext of taking the duo to a police station.
But they abandoned the victim's male friend mid-way before taking turns to rape the 21-year-old woman on Monday, police said.
The victim was later dropped somewhere near her house. Police suspect that the assaulters might be familiar with the woman.
Kalamana Police have registered offences of kidnapping and rape against the unknown culprits, who are still at large.
The victim's male friend had lodged a complaint soon after the alleged kidnapping.
