Australia's Coutts doubles up for 100m freestyle gold
New Delhi: Australia's Alicia Coutts showed her blistering form in New Delhi by winning a second gold of the Commonwealth Games in a closely-fought women's 100m freestyle on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old, who was fastest qualifier, added the two-length title to her 200m individual medley gold, again beating teammate Emily Seebohm, who had to be content with another silver to add to her bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Coutts touched home in 54.09.

England's 50m fly gold medalist Fran Halsall -- looking to match Mel Marshall's six-medal haul from Melbourne in 2006 -- led into the first turn but could not hold on in the final 25m and got bronze, as Coutts pushed through.
