New Delhi: Balushai or laddu, patties and a banana -- this is all what traffic personnel out in the sun during the Commonwealth Games will get to sustain themselves.
The menu for the refreshment packet to be given to around 7,000 traffic personnel deployed for the Games is a mix vegetable patties, a laddu or balushai, two muffins, a banana and fruit juice.
"About 7,000 officers and personnel will be deployed for regulating traffic during the Games for 12 days from October three," a senior police official said.
The official said it will be distributed to the personnel in an organised way.
"The requirement for different days will be different," the official said.
The official said there are practical problems in serving "a proper lunch" to the personnel out on streets and so they have decided to provide them with refreshment packets.
