New Delhi: Canada on Thursday stamped its authority on Commonwealth Games synchronised swimming, taking gold in the duet event and retaining the title they have won at every competition since 1986.
Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon followed up her win in the solo with another gold after the free routine with partner Chloe Isaacs. Their combined score of 95.167 was well ahead of England's Jenna Randall and Olivia Allison on 89.334.
Queensland pair Eloise Amberger and Sarah Bombell took bronze with 79.000.
The win was 27-year-old Quebecoise Boudreau-Gagnon's fourth Games gold -- more than any other athlete -- having won the solo and duet in Melbourne in 2006.
Randall's silver is her second of the Games, having come second in the solo.
