CWG mess: Govt unmoved by reports, says BJP

New Delhi: The government has been facing constant embarrassment over the Commonwealth Games, scheduled to begin from October 3.

In a sharp attack, the BJP today said the government is unmoved at reports of the mess plaguing the Commonwealth Games.

"National prestige is involved but the government is unmoved," said BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu.

Slamming the Games' organisers, the BJP said 26 corruption cases are being probed.

A small portion of a false ceiling at the weightlifting arena at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the main venue for the Games collapsed on Tuesday, causing more embarrassment to the organisers and the government. (Read: Now, part of false ceiling of CWG venue collapses)
