Prime Minister Manmohan Singh played host to the Commonwealth Games' medalists at his residence, greeting them and congratulating them for their success.
Earlier, the Government had also announced cash prizes for the medal winners.
India finished second in the 19th Commonwealth Games with 38 Gold medals and 101 medals in total.
