New Delhi: Acting on reports of unavailability of tickets on counters despite empty stadiums, the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee on Sunday removed Sanjeev Mittal as the head of ticketing.
He will be replaced by Monica Jolly, who will now be the new ticketing in-charge.
Mittal has been asked to handle catering and venue operations.
CWG Chief Mike Fennell had said in a press conference that they were still concerned over the way ticket sales were being handled. "Something is not right with this," he said.
