New Delhi:
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar on Wednesday reviewed the facilities at the Commonwealth Games Village and expressed satisfaction at the progress made in works.
Sources said Dikshit and Chandrasekhar had an "overall review" of the facilities at the Games Village, which had come under criticism from foreign delegates for "filthy and unlivable" conditions.
Both Dikshit and Chandrasekhar directed MCD and NDMC officials to finish the cleaning up of the Village by Wednesday evening, sources said.
They expressed satisfaction at the arrangements made at the Village, which will house around 7,000 athletes arriving for the Games beginning October three.
