The first medal that came India's way on Day 8 of the Games was courtesy its shooters. Tejaswini Sawant and Meena Kumari won a Bronze medal in the 50m Rifle Prone women's pairs event.
The Gold was notched up by the Scottish duo of Kay Copland and Jen McIntosh while the silver medal went to Michelle Smith and Sharon Lee of England.
