Pune: Sixteen hotel management students of Pune are on their toes at the Commonwealth Games Village in Delhi to ensure that participating athletes are well fed.
They are part of a group of 250 students from various institutes of the United Education Institute (UEI) Global India who are part of the official catering team at the CWG.
The group from Pune include 14 boys and two girls and are pursuing their degree course at UEI Global India's Pune branch located in Kalyaninagar.
This institute is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and International Certification from Hotel School at the Hague in the Netherlands.
The students were ecstatic after their selection to serve the athletes. They said it would give them proper international exposure by serving the athletes at the designated Games village. Amogh told DNA they are serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to the athletes.
"The athletes and other staff members of different countries interact with us every day and have already appreciated our service. It is a good exposure for us,'' he said.
