New Delhi: Just when you think things are beginning to turn around for the Commonwealth Games, comes another example of utter callousness.
This time it's the Indian shooting squad that has the most number of gold hopefuls, which was left in the lurch.
The Indian shooting team which landed in Delhi from Pune at 8:30pm last evening had to wait till 5 am this morning to get rooms in the Games Village.
Firstly it took them a long time to get their accreditations. Then the Organising Committee security took as long as five hours to get a bus, figure out a route to take them to the range so that they can drop off their guns and ammunition, and then head to the Village.
According to Professor Sunny Thomas, Indian shooting team's manager, there was 'complete lack of co-ordination' and 'chaos'.
The shooters will now miss half a day's practice.
