New Delhi: A three-storey residential building has collapsed in Delhi's Moti Nagar area after an explosion, killing one person. Nine people were injured, including four children, and have been taken to the hospital. The collapse was triggered by a gas cylinder blast.
The explosion happened around 7:45 am in the building, located near Sudarshan Park in Moti Nagar. The building has shops and a godown on the ground floor. The two upper floors were residential. Work is presently underway to clear the rubble, with Fire Department officials saying they expect that a handful of people could still be trapped.
The one person killed in the collapse has been identified as Nandu, a labourer.
