A 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death by four teens in central Delhi because he was friends with the girlfriend of one of the accused, the police said on Saturday.
Three of the accused have been apprehended, police said.
The boy was near his house on Friday when the four boys took him aside to talk. An argument between him and the four teens eventually ended with him being stabbed multiple times, a police officer said.
As the boy screamed for help, the four accused fled from the spot. He was taken to a nearby hospital by his mother where he died from his injuries, the police officer said.
During interrogation, the three accused told police that one of their girlfriends was friends with victim. Few weeks ago, the boy was asked to stop speaking to the girl but he didn't, the officer said.
One of the accused then hatched a conspiracy with two of his friends and killed the boy, the officer said. Police said they are still trying to trace the fourth accused in the case.
