New Delhi: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped over a period of time by a 35-year-old neighbour in southwest Delhi's Dwarka sub-city, police said on Tuesday.
The incident came to light after the girl became pregnant and informed her parents. They approached police on Monday and reported the matter, following which the accused was arrested under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Acts, a police official said.
The girl's family and the accused, who worked as a driver for a local political leader, live as tenants in the same floor of a building in Dwarka Sector 23, the official added.
