Gagandeep, a resident of Vishnu Garden, had gone to the water park with five friends in the afternoon yesterday.
According to his friends, they had informed the pool's lifeguard that they were not good at swimming.
One of his friends Jaswinder told police that the pool was crowded due to which nobody noticed Gagandeep drowning and when they returned to the pool, no lifeguard was on duty.
There was commotion and Gagandeep was taken out from the deep end of the pool, he said.
"No life-saving first-aid was provided in the water park," Jaswinder said.
