New Delhi: An 18-year-old law student was killed after he lost control of his car and the vehicle fell off a railway overbridge in south Delhi early on Thursday, police said.
Mrinaldeep Singh, a resident of Noida pursuing a five-year law course from OP Jindal Global University in Haryana, was returning home from a pub in Nehru Place when his car fell off the overbridge on Ring Road in Ashram area of east Delhi.
The car fell 35 feet down near the railway tracks in Nehru Nagar around 2.30 am, police said. The youngster died on way to hospital.
Police said whether he was driving under the influence of alcohol would be known after the post-mortem examination.
The victim's father, Manjeet Singh, is a general manager in Indraprastha Gas Ltd.
