New Delhi:
Two persons were injured in a cylinder blast in southwest Delhi's Palam village, police said today.
Fire officials said a call was received about a cylinder blast in the evening and two fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
"A call was received at 5.25 PM about a cylinder blast and there were two fire tenders that reached the spot. The injured were rushed to the hospital," a senior fire official said.
The victims, Ram Bhajan (50) and Kundan (15) were rushed to Safdarjung Hospital and they are recovering, a senior police official said.
Police will investigate the matter to ascertain cause of the blast.
"The fire was doused by 6.43 pm. Local police is investigating the matter," DCP (South West) Surender Kumar said.
