New Delhi: Two labourers died and three were severely injured today during a cave-in at a construction site on the premises of Delhi's premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
The incident took place around 1 pm when the five labourers, working at the site near the mortuary, were taking rest.
Suddenly, a mound of earth caved in, leaving all five men trapped, a senior official said.
The police, the fire department and other agencies were informed and a rescue operation was launched.
Teams of the National Disaster Response Force were also rushed to the spot.
One person was found dead and four were taken to hospital, where another man died, the official said.
