20,000 Residents of Sangam Vihar to Get Delhi Jal Board Water

New Delhi: Around 20,000 residents of the G-12 Block, Sangam Vihar in southeast Delhi will now avail benefits of clean drinking water as Delhi Jal Board (DJB) today started supply of filtered water in the area.

According to DJB officials, supply has been released through public water hydrants by lying of galvanized iron (GI) water pipe network of approximately two kilometer length. The cost of the project was around Rs 18 lakh.

Claiming that DJB is making consistent efforts to bring new areas into its piped water supply network, its Vice Chairperson, Dinesh Mohaniya inaugurated the water supply.

"At DJB, it has been our focus to ensure access to potable water supply especially to residents of the unauthorized colonies. I am hopeful the water supply will result in better living conditions for the residents of this area and will also lead to an improved environment" said Mr Mohaniya.
