New Delhi:
A 21-year-old woman, Sarita, was found murdered with her throat slit in her parent's house, police said today. Sarita was married a year ago but has been living with her parents for the past one-and-a-half months.
She was found dead when her mother and sister-in-law returned to their house, in East Delhi's West Vinod nagar area, around 5:30 p.m.
Her brother was found seriously injured, according to the police. "The two had gone out at 4:30 p.m. Sarita and her 15-year-old brother were at home," said a police official.
Police said that the house was ransacked and the front door was open; however, there were no signs of a forceful entry.
The police have registered a case of murder and robbery. A person, who was previously employed as a domestic help in the house, has also been detained.
