New Delhi: At least 24 trains were delayed and five rescheduled on Monday as cold waves and fog continued to affect most parts of North India, including the national capital.
A Northern Railway official told news agency Indo-Asian News Service that the Jogbani-Anand Vihar Express was running over 13 hours behind schedule, the Swatantrata Senani Express was 15 hours late and the Shaheed Express was over 11 hours late.
The Indian Meteorological Department had predicted moderate fog in New Delhi on Monday morning. It added that the minimum and maximum temperatures in the national capital would hover around seven and 23 degree Celsius respectively.
Quoting the weather office, IANS reported that the humidity at 8.30am on Monday was 92 per cent and visibility was 250 metres.
