New Delhi:
Three people have been killed and 10 injured after a fire broke out in a building in Mohan Park area of Shahdara in north-east Delhi today.
The fire broke out in the parking lot of an apartment where electric rickshaws were parked. The fire department received the call around 5 am.
Officials suspect that a short-circuit from the rickshaws that were being charged led to the fire. The fire spread through the four-storeyed building, said a senior official from Delhi fire services.
Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control by 6:30 am, the official said.
The three people killed in the fire are yet to be identified. The 10 injured are currently being treated at the GTB Hospital.
