New Delhi: Three inter-state drug peddlers were arrested and two kg of heroin valued at Rs 6 crore in the international market seized from them in New Delhi, police said today.
The kingpin, Subhash Jaiswal, 58, was arrested from west Delhi along with his associates Asif Ali, 53, and Ashok, 30.
"Jaiswal had gone to deliver a consignment of heroin to Ashok at Madhuban Chowk from where both were arrested on a tip-off on Monday. We seized 1.5 kg of heroin from their possession," a police officer said.
Ali was later arrested from Rithala metro station and 500 gm of heroin was allegedly seized from him.
"Jaiswal has been in supplying heroin in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi for 20 years. He was arrested thrice earlier in Delhi," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Rajiv Ranjan said.
