New Delhi: Dengue took in its grip 32 more people in the national capital, taking the number of those affected by the mosquito-borne disease to 1,936 this season.
These cases were reported from East, South and North Delhi Corporation areas, while three more cases were reported from outside Delhi.
So far, four persons have died here due to dengue in the capital.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation reported the maximum of 757 cases, while 625 cases were detected from North Delhi Municipal Corporation area and 494 from East Delhi Municipal Corporation region.
Other cases were reported from New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and Delhi cantonment areas.
Last year, 976 cases were reported and five deaths took place while in 2010, a total of 5,994 dengue cases and eight deaths were recorded in the capital.
