New Delhi: Six Metro stations in the vicinity of Rajpath will be shut for a few hours on January 26 as part of security arrangements for the Republic Day Parade.
The stations to remain closed are Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Patel Chowk, Race Course, Mandi House and Pragati Maidan, a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) release said on Friday.
Although interchange facilities will be available at the Central Secretariat station, services between Mandi House and Pragati Maidan Metro stations will be suspended from 10:45 am to 11:45 am.
Entry and Exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations of Line 2 will remain closed from 6.00 am till 12.00 noon while Patel Chowk and Race Course Metro stations entry and exit will remain closed from 8.45 AM to 12.00 noon.
From 10.45 am to 11.45 am, trains will run in three short loops from Noida City Centre to Indraprastha, Vaishali to Yamuna Bank and Dwarka Sector 21 to Barakhamba Road.
Meanwhile, all Metro parking lots will remain closed from 6.00 am on January 25 to 2.00 pm on January 26.
