New Delhi: Fresh from the resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party leaders today held roadshows and meetings in their respective constituencies thanking and interacting with the residents.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia took out a roadshow in his Patparganj constituency expressing gratitude to the people for supporting "honest politics".
Riding an open top jeep, the 43-year-old AAP leader exchanged pleasantaries with the people who had turned out in large numbers as he travelled through areas like Khichripur, Kalyan Puri and Mayur Vihar.
Thanking voters for bestowing him with "love and respect", he tweeted, "I salute your spirit and courage for supporting honest politics".
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been unwell for the last five days, stayed put at his residence where he met Mr Sisodia, Kumar Vishwas and some other leaders.
While Transport Minister Gopal Rai also took out a road show, Sandeep Kumar and Jitender Singh Tomar preferred the door-to-door mode to reach out to the people.
Travelling through many areas of Babarpur constituency in a rickshaw, Mr Rai reached out to the supporters while distributing sweets.
Mr Tomar, who has been allocated the Home and Law portfolios, and Women and Child Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar also interacted with their supporters and heard out their grievances in their respective constituencies of Tri Nagar and Sultanpur Majra.
Malviya Nagar MLA and former Law Minister Somnath Bharti, who has been left out of the Cabinet this time, also met his constituents in the morning apart from holding meetings with the members of the local Resident's Welfare Associations.
