New Delhi: A Delhi Police constable was injured when he was hit by a bullet accidentally fired by his colleague, police said on Sunday. The incident took place around 8 p.m. Saturday when they were sitting in a Police Control Room (PCR) van near Qutub Minar in South Delhi's Mehruali area.
Anil, the driver of the PCR van, is being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
According to a senior officer, three policemen, Niranjan Lal, Jagdev, and Anil were sitting inside the PCR van when the incident occurred.
"Anil was injured with the bullet fired from Jagdev's Insas rifle. An FIR has been registered against Jagdev," said the officer.
