New Delhi: The panel of AIIMS doctors who conducted the postmortem on six-year-old Devansh has not ruled out sexual assault, contrary to Delhi Police's claim that the report they have received prima facie does not indicate so.

"We have not yet submitted the final postmortem report on as to what caused the death of the boy. We are waiting for the investigation report from the police. We are not ruling out anything including possibility of sexual assault as of now," said a senior AIIMS doctor.

Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that the postmortem report of Devansh, who was found dead in a water reservoir at Ryan International School in south Delhi, prima facie does not indicate any sexual assault.

"The postmortem report has been received and it is being studied. Suffice to say that it (the postmortem report) does not prima facie indicate any sexual assault," Mr Bassi said.

On January 30, Devansh Kakrora, a class 1 student at Ryan International School in south Delhi's Vasant Kunj, was found dead in the tank under the school's amphitheatre.
