The weatherman has predicted clear sky for Thursday and temperature between 24 and 41 degree C.
Weather Office had predicted that the city will witness a significant increase in maximum temperature for a week till May 16.
"Latest model output and the analysis indicate that the maximum temperature over Delhi (Safdarjung) will be in the range of 41-42 degree C during May 8 and 10, 39-40 degree C during May 11 and 13 and 41-43 degree C during May 14-16.
"The maximum temperature may reach around 44 degree C in some areas of NCR on May 16. Therefore, heat wave conditions are likely to develop over Delhi NCR by middle of May," a statement said.
It further said drop in maximum temperature during the weekend will be in association with a western disturbance affecting the neighbouring areas of Delhi NCR during May 11-12.
