New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with Power Minister Satyendar Jain and department officials on Friday over complaints of frequent power cuts made by some of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs.
AAP MLAs from North-East and East Delhi have complained of power cuts in their constituencies to the Chief Minister's Office.
"The chief minister today held a meeting with power minister Satyendar Jain, officials from power department, discoms at his official residence to know the reason why frequent power cuts are being done," said a senior government official.
The official said that Mr Kejriwal has directed that there should be no frequent power cuts.
on Thursday, Mr Jain had also held a meeting with the officials of power department and discoms over the MLAs' complaints. In the meeting, Mr Jain had said that why power cuts were so frequent despite the fact that the demand is not on the rise during the current season.
