- Government can take up an initiative but everyone needs to participate in Delhi to make those initiatives successful
- Formal notification for Odd-Even Formula will be out on Monday
- Odd number cars are to ply on odd dates, even numbered cars on even dates
- There's been a lot of talk so far of odd-even formula but no government has had the guts so far to bring into effect
- Rs. 2000 fine will be imposed on people who will break the rule
- I heard that yesterday was the most polluted day of the year
- We have to solve this problem together, government cannot do it alone
- Exemption cases to the rule: Emergency vehicles like ambulance, fire, hospital, prison, hearse, enforcement vehicles
- Vehicles of the President, Vice President, PM, Speaker of Lok Sabha, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha
- Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha, Governors of states/ Lt Governor, Chief Justice of India, Union Ministers
- Leaders of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, CM of States except Delhi, judges of Supreme Court and High Court, Lokayukta
- Will take a pledge on January 30 on schools in Delhi where children will convince their parents to follow odd-even formula
- Its for 15 days, not continuous programme. Maybe after a few months again, to bring down pollution levels
- 10,000 volunteers will help us in encouraging people to leave their cars home by maybe giving them roses
- Avoid strangers for car-pooling.Make grouping of friends relatives & colleagues for car pooling
- Pressure on public transport will be too much if everybody rushes to it, practical solution is car pooling
- We need cooperation from Traffic Police. Please don't allow jams to happen when you fine people
- Chief minister and his family will not be exempted from any rule
- If the public transport is able to bear the pressure, and if the formula works, then we will see if we want to continue it
- If all the people of Delhi will violate the rule then there is no option, we will have to drop this plan
- This scheme is for you, for your kids. We are all coughing. It is for the environment
- I appeal people of Delhi to follow this Formula, this is for you, for your children
- Lets make this a movement of the people. Not something to be enforced
