At 43 degrees Celsius, Thursday was Delhi's hottest; expect worse today

New Delhi: It was a hot Friday morning in the capital with clear, sunny skies. The minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 27.8 degrees Celsius and the weather office said the maximum was expected to hover around the 44 degrees Celsius mark.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), humidity at 8.30 am was 21 percent.

Thursday's maximum temperature was 43.1 degrees Celsius - three notches above average and the highest so far during the season. The minimum was 27.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above average.
