Bharat Bandh over petrol price hike: Areas to avoid in Delhi

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is observing day-long Bharat Bandh today to protest against the recent hike in petrol prices. As part of the agitation, BJP workers are blocking traffic and staging demonstration at many places across the capital.

Traders, autorickshaws and business organisations have all joined the bandh. As a result, there are fewer autorickshaws on road and more trouble for commuters.

While the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has said that Metro services are normal; there are reports of trains running late from several places in Delhi and NCR. Sudden surge of crowd due other modes of transportation being affected is possibly the reason for passenger's complaints.

Places to avoid while travelling in Delhi today: Khanpur (BRT Chowk); Dwarka-Palam Flyover; Karol Bagh (Ajmal Khan Chowk); Shahdra (Maujpur Chowk); Rohini (Madhuban Chowk); Chandini Chowk (Lal Quila Chowk); Mangol Puri (Pathar Market); Defence Colony Chowk; Malviya Nagar Chowk; Shastri Park; Uttam Nagar Terminal; Sagarpur Chowk; Britannia Chowk; Ajmeri Gate chowk; Mathura Road, Badarpur T-Point
