New Delhi: An elderly couple travelling in a car were robbed of cash and jewellery by two motorcycle-borne men armed with firearms in east Delhi, police said on Friday.
The incident took place in Shakarpur at around 11:50 pm yesterday when they returning to Preet Vihar after attending a wedding in Gurgaon.
Pawan Sharma (55) and his wife Alka Sharma were waylaid by the motorcyclists, who robbed the couple at gunpoint.
The complainant claimed that there was Rs 35,000 cash in the car which was looted along with the jewellery the woman was wearing.
