New Delhi:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a demonstration near Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's residence in the capital today demanding her resignation over alleged misuse of public money ahead of the 2008 assembly polls.
Delhi Lokayukta Manmohan Sarin has indicted Mrs Dikshit for misusing public money by carrying out an advertisement campaign with a "political purpose" ahead of the assembly elections in 2008.
Nearly 100 workers and leaders of the BJP gathered near the chief minister's house and raised slogans against her.
The BJP has been demanding that a first information report (FIR) be filed against Mrs Dikshit on the basis of the ombudsman's report.
