Building collapses in west Delhi, four killed

New Delhi: Four people, including two women, were killed when a four-storey building collapsed in west Delhi this morning.

The building located near Uttam Nagar Metro Station came down at around 11:30 AM while some construction was going on in the basement of the building.

Police say a family of seven resides in the house, adding officials are yet to ascertain how many were in the building when the incident took place.

A senior police official said there was some construction going on in the building. A family was living in one part of the building, he said, adding some labourers were also working at the site.

The house is owned by one Rakesh Sharma.
