New Delhi:
A cab driver is in critical condition in a Delhi hospital after he was brutally beaten up by two men from a tow agency in the presence of a traffic cop.
The incident took place on Saturday opposite the Paharganj police station. According to the owners of SS Travels where the victim, Kalam, worked, the latter had parked his vehicle when a traffic cop approached him, telling him that his car was in a no-parking zone. When Kalam protested, the cop seized his licence and asked him to reclaim it.
Kalam later had an argument with the cop when was trying to get back his driving licence. Two operators of the tow van attacked him and he collapsed. Bystanders rushed him to the hospital where he underwent a major brain surgery.
