New Delhi: A case has been registered at Bharat Nagar police station in northwest Delhi on a complaint of a Class XII girl student against her friend for allegedly uploading objectionable picture in a WhatsApp group.
The girl, who studies in a school in Roop Nagar area, was part of a WhatsApp group of her school friends.
Recently, a boy, who is the admin of the group, allegedly posted some objectionable pictures on the group, said a senior police officer.
The girl filed a complaint at Bharat Nagar police station on August 29.
"A case has been registered under IPC Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and Section 67B of the IT Act (publishing or transmitting of material depicting children in sexually explicit act in electronic form) has been registered," DCP (Northwest) Vijay Singh said.
Both the girl and the boy are minors and the case is under investigation, police said.
