New Delhi: A teenager has been found dead at the apartment building where his family lived in West Delhi. Security cameras show the 14-year-old falling from the building in Sector 6 of Dwarka.
The police is investigating whether Vaibhav Kumar , who was in Class 9 at the Bal Bharti school, jumped off the eight-storey building or was pushed by someone.
Investigators have found blood stains on the staircase and on different floors, suggesting that Vaibhav's dead body may have been dragged down the staircase from the terrace.
His father, Vijender Kumar, is a doctor and owns a private clinic in the area.
Mr Kumar said that last evening, Vaibhav left home for a coaching class which ended at about 7 pm. Three hours later, when the child had not returned home, the family called the police. First, Vaibhav's school bag and shoes were found on the terrace. Then his body was found lying on the ground near the parking lot.
Dr Kumar said that he thinks his son was killed on the roof and then left on the ground floor to make it seem like he had committed suicide. He also said that he has no enemies who may have wished to hurt his son. "The way he has come in the CCTV footage, it shows that as if someone has pushed him," he said, adding that he cannot think of any suspects.
