It was a cold, foggy morning in Delhi today, with the visibility dropping to 500 meters. Officials said 20 trains were delayed.
According to the Northern Railway, 16 trains coming to the city were running late, while four trains departing from Delhi were rescheduled.
"There was moderate to dense fog in the morning. But the sky during the day today (Wednesday) will be mainly clear," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The day's minimum temperature settled one notch below the season's average at 6.4 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 am was 94 per cent.
The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsius.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded three notches below the season's average at 17.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 9 degrees Celsius - two notches above the season's average.
