Delhi police has registered a case after robbers on bikes robbed a collection agent of Rs 11 lakh.

Four robbers who were on bikes on Monday looted a collection agent of Rs 11 lakh in Adarsh Nagar area of north west Delhi.
Ram Bahadur, 34, who worked with a trader dealing in phone recharge coupons in Shalimar Bagh area, was returning office after collecting Rs 11 lakh from the market when he was robbed by four robbers on two bikes in the afternoon, police said.
Mr Bahadur told police that after collecting cash he was on his bike when he was intercepted by two bikes near Adarsh Nagar red light.
He said he lost balance and fell on the road while the robbers picked up the cash bag and fled away, said a senior police officer.
The employee was on his way to deposit the money in a bank in Model Town when he was robbed.
Police have registered a case and launched investigation after screening CCTV footage and questioning Bahadur and his employers.
The role of an insider can not be ruled out in the case since minimum use of force was employed by the robbers, Mr Bahadur sustained minor injuries as he fell down from his bike, the officer said.
