'Cop molested me, threw me out of my house'
New Delhi: A 37-year-old woman from Jaitpur in southeast Delhi has alleged that she was molested, beaten and  thrown out of her own home by the local Station House Officer (SHO). The woman has got a complaint registered with the National Commission for Women (NCW).

The victim lives in Om Nagar area of Jaitpur. She alleged that the cop misbehaved with her at the behest of her tenant. The incident came to light on July 3 when the tenant, Manju Devi made a PCR call and reported that her house was usurped by the alleged victim.

"I purchased the house from Kartar Singh, who was the owner of this property, and then started living in that house with my family. Manju lived in a separate room on the same floor. On July 3 at around 5pm, the police came to my residence and forced me to leave the house in the absence of my husband Bhale Singh Bhati (who is working in Delhi Jal Board as a worker) without any prior notice. When I confronted the SHO asking for reasons he said that the house did not belong to me.

"I even produced original documents of the house but despite checking the papers he threatened and molested me. The police called for a Tata truck and around 20-25 constables from the police station. Our belongings were forcibly thrown out and loaded onto the truck," she said.

She further alleged that the entire incident occurred with the support of a person named Vishnu, who claims to be a traffic head constable and uses his clout to threaten people living in the vicinity.

The family is now living with their relatives in Kalkaji, but their clothes, jewellery and other belongings have been allegedly taken away by the police.

"On July 1, I went to visit my relatives when she broke the locks of the house and threw my belongings outside. When I got to know this, I immediately called the police and after that police took appropriate action. It was my house and she forcibly entered it," said Manju Devi.
